The scoop:
I bought the The Resveralife Advanced Manicure Set at the store in Palm Springs and let me tell you, it’s by the far the most handy nail kit I’ve ever purchased. I originally bought it for my husband to use yet ended up using it more often myself. The kit is $48.00 however, it definitely beats those bi-weekly salon trips for a basic manicure that can get expensive after a while. I love that each step is on the product making it easy to use and comprehend (which to be honest, I wouldn’t know what did what if they weren’t there). Not only is this a quality product, from packaging to the results it provides, in my opinion it’s a must have for the following reasons.

Packaging

The packaging on this product was so good I had to mention it. The box is:

  • Sturdy
  • Perfect for storage

Usually, I open a new nail kit and have nowhere to store the products since the packaging is made to be tossed but that’s not the case here. It has designated spots for each product to be placed which is really helpful if you’re like me and like having things in order and ready for next use.

Aside from the packaging itself, the contents within the nail kit are all extremely well made making this purchase that much more worth it. Here’s a breakdown and some of my thoughts on everything that comes inside.

Nail File

Not all nail files are created equal and not all nail files provide the same quality results. I find that some nail files are too flimsy and break easily after a use or two and others do the job, but lose friction after only a few uses. From my personal experience, I’m not too fond of the metal ones which is why I was instantly interested in this nail kit.

The nail file is:

  • Made from glass
  • Double sided and etched (so I can get those hard to reach corners around my cuticles)

I’ve used this nail file a handful of times in the last month or so and it still has yet to become dull. Hallelujah!

Nail Buffer

In contrast to previous nail buffers I’ve used, the 3 step diamond buffer inside the Resveralife Advanced Manicure Set is most certainly one of my favorite buffers I’ve ever used. My nails always look so shiny and well maintained after each use and the shininess lasts days after a self given manicure! Sometimes I just leave my nails unpolished because a clear coat isn’t needed. On the days I do decide to polish them, the color glides on so smoothly making it less of a pain to apply multiple coats which is such a good bonus.

The buffer itself is such a great tool it:

  • Doesn’t dull easily
  • Extra shining and smoothing pads included
  • Steps marked on each side

Nail Clipper
To be completely honest, I found the stainless steel nail clipper included in this kit to be quite average and as standard as other ones I’ve used in the past. It still works relatively well and is a perfect compliment to the rest of the kit, there just isn’t anything special about it per say like the other items within the kit have (i.e the crystal glass nail file, extra shining/ smoothing pads for the buffer). It does do a perfect clip each time and I never have double clip because it didn’t cut a nail or something.

Here are the features that I find to be worth mentioning:

  • Stainless steel
  • Perfect and precise cut each time

Overall:
I highly recommend this nail kit to anyone who is low maintenance on their nails or just likes having a basic manicure done. Once I file, buffer and prime, the nail color slides right on without any of that clumpiness that can sometimes happen. My husband, whom I initially got this kit for, is also a big fan. He’s has no problem keeping his nails trimmed and in good shape using this kit. I truthfully have zero complaints about this kit but if there was one thing I could add, it would be some cuticle oil. I purchase my own so no big deal, but it would be really handy if there was a slot for the oil within the kit so I could keep it all together.
